Database Development
To save time and effort on site many of our datamarts are partially pre-developed. When we understand your requirements the data mart is specifically enhanced for your requirements.
General information
- The datamarts are installed on their own server in your office. They operate automatically and require no additional staff to administer them. If a problem is encountered the system emails our Support Team alerting Tahola of the problem.
- We will load all available and relevant history. This means that year on year comparisons are immediately possible.
- If in future, you change your front end system, we can link your datamart to the new system whilst retaining all the historical data from the old system. The process is carefully managed to minimise disruption to your business and maintains your day to day reporting during the transition.
- Data not held in the front end system, such as budgets, staff targets or like for like data, can be incorporated into the datamart to enhance reporting. We have developed a Business Drivers database to hold this information which can be managed by you.
- Our development aim is to provide staff with the information they need, when they need it, where they need it and in the format that they need it. This might be every half hour, overnight or in some cases weekly or monthly.
